Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 19, 2026

Introduction

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how StockRatings.ai ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal data when you use our website and services (collectively, the "Services"). We are committed to handling your personal information in a responsible manner in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant United States privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, or CCPA). By using StockRatings.ai, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through the StockRatings.ai website and any related services or communications (e.g. email newsletters). It does not apply to any third-party websites or services that may be linked from our Site, which have their own privacy policies.

1. Information We Collect

We strive to minimize the personal data we collect. In general, you can browse StockRatings.ai without providing personal information. We only collect personal data if you choose to provide it. The types of information we may collect include:

Personal Information You Provide:

If you subscribe to our updates or newsletters, we will collect your email address and your preference for newsletter frequency (e.g. daily or weekly digest). This is the only personal information we require for the subscription. We do not collect your name, physical address, payment information (currently the service is free), or any other identifying information for basic use of the Site. Providing your email is optional and only necessary if you wish to receive email communications from us. You may also provide personal information if you contact us directly (for example, via a support email), in which case we will receive whatever information you choose to send us (such as your email address and the content of your message).

Automatic Data (Log and Usage Data):

When you visit StockRatings.ai, our servers may automatically log certain information about your visit for security and analytical purposes. This log data may include your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages or content you view, the time and date of your visit, and the referring URL (the page you came from). We use this information to monitor the performance of our Site, analyze trends, prevent malicious activity, and administer the site. Importantly, this data is not tied to any specific identity – we do not use it to identify individual users, and it is stored in a pseudonymized or aggregated form. We do not use cookies or tracking scripts on our website to collect additional data about your browsing behavior (see our Cookie Policy below for more on our non-use of cookies).

No Sensitive Personal Data:

We do not intentionally collect any sensitive personal data about you. This means we do not collect information about your health, genetic or biometric data, ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinions, or sexual orientation. We ask that you do not send us this kind of information. StockRatings.ai is focused on financial data and does not require any sensitive information from its users.

(If in the future we introduce user accounts or paid services, we may need to collect additional information such as names or payment details. However, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly and, if required, seek your consent or provide notice at that time.)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To Provide and Personalize the Service:

The primary use of your email and newsletter preference is to deliver the stock updates or newsletters you have requested. For example, if you signed up for a daily stock digest, we will use your email to send you the daily newsletter. We may also use your email to send occasional service-related communications, such as important announcements about changes to our service or policies (but we will not spam you with unrelated marketing). We do not use any personal data to automate individual decisions or profiling, other than customizing the content of the newsletter to match the frequency you selected.

To Communicate with You:

If you contact us with questions, feedback, or support inquiries, we will use your email address and any other contact information you provided to respond to you. We may also send you confirmations or information when you subscribe or unsubscribe from a newsletter (for instance, confirming you have been added to our mailing list, or providing a link to manage your subscription).

To Improve Our Site and Services:

We use aggregate and anonymous usage data (such as page visit logs, etc.) to understand how users interact with our Site, so we can improve our content and user experience. For example, knowing which pages are most visited or if certain features are used helps us optimize our offerings. These analytics are performed either in-house or using server logs; remember, we do not use third-party analytics cookies, so any analysis is done without collecting additional personal data. In some cases, we might use third-party analytics tools that do not rely on cookies or that operate with anonymized data, in compliance with privacy laws.

To Ensure Security and Prevent Misuse:

We may use IP addresses and log data to help detect and prevent malicious activities, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Use. This is a standard practice to protect the integrity of our website and our user community. For example, we might use log information to identify IP addresses that are repeatedly trying to scrape data or launch attacks, and take measures to block them.

Legal Compliance:

If necessary, we will use or disclose your information to comply with legal obligations. For instance, responding to lawful requests by public authorities, or to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, or as otherwise required by law (such as keeping records for regulatory compliance if applicable).

We will not use your personal information for any purpose that is incompatible with the purposes described above without seeking your consent or providing notice. In particular, we do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

3. How We Disclose or Share Information

StockRatings.ai respects your privacy, and we treat your personal data with care. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share information in limited circumstances, outlined below:

Service Providers:

We may share your email address with trusted third-party service providers strictly for the purpose of operating our Services. For example, we might use an email delivery service (a mailing list management platform) to send out our newsletters. Such service providers will process your data only on our instructions and for the purpose of providing services to us (e.g., sending the emails you signed up for). We contractually require any service provider to protect your personal information with appropriate security measures and to use it only for the agreed-upon purpose. These providers may be located in jurisdictions other than your own (see "International Data Transfers" below).

Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights:

We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) comply with a legal obligation, court order, or request from governmental authorities; (b) enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements; (c) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; (d) respond to emergencies or protect the rights, property, or safety of StockRatings.ai, our users, or the public. We will only disclose the minimum amount of information necessary in these circumstances and will, if lawful to do so, inform you of such disclosure.

Business Transfers:

In the event that StockRatings.ai (or substantially all of its assets) undergoes a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset sale, your personal information might be transferred to the new owner/partner as part of that deal. If such a transfer occurs, we will ensure that your data remains subject to confidentiality commitments and we will notify you (for example, via a notice on our website or email) of any change in ownership or use of your personal data, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal data.

With Your Consent:

Apart from the cases above, we will only share your personal information with third parties when we have your explicit consent to do so. For example, if in the future we participate in a collaborative project or event and you opt-in to share information with those partners, we will honor that choice. If you choose to connect your use of our Services with a third-party account (for instance, if in future we allow signing in via Google or others), you would be consenting to share certain information with that third party under their privacy policy – but we currently do not have such features.

4. Data Storage and International Transfers

Data Storage:

The personal information we collect (your email and preferences) is stored on secure servers. We take reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data. This includes using encryption for data at rest or in transit where appropriate, access controls to limit who within our organization can access personal data, and security protocols to prevent unauthorized access.

Location of Servers:

Our primary servers are located in the USA. However, we may use certain service providers (such as email distribution services or cloud infrastructure) that are located in other countries, including the United States. If your personal data is transferred outside of the EU/European Economic Area, we will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to comply with GDPR requirements for international data transfers. Typically, this means relying on mechanisms such as European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or ensuring the recipient is in a jurisdiction deemed adequate by the EU, or any other valid transfer mechanism under GDPR.

Your Rights regarding Transfers:

If you are located in the EU or other regions with laws governing data collection and use, please note that we may transfer your information to a country and jurisdiction that does not have the same data protection laws as in your jurisdiction. You have the right to understand the safeguards we implement for such transfers – feel free to contact us if you would like more information on this.

5. Data Retention

We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Specifically:

  • If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will retain your email address and subscription preferences for as long as you remain subscribed. We consider you an active subscriber until you opt out or until emails to you bounce repeatedly indicating an inactive address. If you unsubscribe from our mailings, we will promptly remove you from the mailing list. We may, however, retain your email on a suppression list (a record that you have opted out) to ensure we honor your unsubscribe request and do not accidentally send you further emails.
  • If you contact us directly (for support or other inquiries), we may retain correspondence (including your email address and communications) for a reasonable period, in order to manage our relationship and improve our services. If you request deletion of this correspondence, we will delete it unless we have a legal obligation or legitimate interest to retain it (for example, evidence of provided support or of any abusive interactions).
  • Log files and usage data are generally retained for a short period (e.g., a few months) unless we need to retain them longer for site security or legal reasons. We typically aggregate or anonymize usage data over time so it can no longer be associated with individual visitors.

We periodically review the data we have and delete or anonymize personal data that is no longer needed. In determining retention periods, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes of processing, whether those purposes can be achieved by other means, and legal requirements.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have certain rights regarding your personal data, especially if you are in the European Union or a similar jurisdiction that grants data subject rights. We are committed to honoring these rights. Subject to applicable law, your rights may include:

  • Right of Access: You have the right to request confirmation of whether we are processing personal data about you, and if so, to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, as well as information about how we use it.
  • Right of Rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we have about you. If you believe the email address we have on file is incorrect, for example, you can ask us to update it.
  • Right to Erasure: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data (the "right to be forgotten"), for instance if the data is no longer necessary for the purposes it was collected, or if you withdraw consent. We will honor such requests to the extent required by law. For example, if you unsubscribe from our newsletter, you can request we delete your email from our systems entirely. Note that we may need to retain certain information if required by law or for legitimate purposes (see Data Retention above).
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can ask us to restrict or suspend processing of your personal data in certain circumstances, such as if you contest the accuracy of the data or object to our processing. While restricted, your data will still be stored, but not used until the issue is resolved.
  • Right to Object: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data in some cases. For example, you can object to use of your email for direct marketing. (Note: We currently do not send marketing beyond the scope of the requested newsletters.) If you object, we will stop processing your personal information unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue or as otherwise permitted by law.
  • Right to Data Portability: Where applicable, you have the right to request a copy of personal data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to have that information transmitted to another service provider (where technically feasible). Given the limited data we collect (email and preferences), this may not be broadly relevant, but we will accommodate such requests as required by law.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: If we are processing your personal data based on your consent (for example, your consent to receive newsletters), you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, and it will not affect processing of your personal data under other legal bases (if any). Withdrawing consent from newsletter emails is as easy as clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any email or contacting us to remove you.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at our support email: support@stockratings.ai. Please clearly state your request and provide the email address associated with your data (for verification). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests, to ensure that we do not disclose personal data to the wrong person. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, and in any event within the timeframe required by applicable law. If your request is complex or we have many requests, we will inform you of any need for an extension of the response deadline.

California Residents (CCPA):

Although we do not sell personal data and our data collection is minimal, if you are a resident of California, you have certain additional rights under the CCPA. These include the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, how we use it, and with whom we share it (all described in this Policy), the right to access the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the right to request deletion of your personal information (with similar exceptions as under GDPR), and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights. This Privacy Policy is intended to comply with and inform you of these rights. If you need to exercise your California privacy rights, you can contact us using the methods described above, and we will process your request in accordance with California law. Again, note that since we collect only an email and preferences (and do not sell data), many CCPA provisions (like the right to opt-out of sale) are not applicable except we automatically honor them by not engaging in those practices.

Other Jurisdictions:

If you are located in other states or countries (such as Brazil, Canada, etc.) that provide their own privacy rights, we will similarly respect your rights in line with applicable laws. You can contact us for any privacy-related requests or inquiries regardless of your location, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs in accordance with applicable regulations.

7. Data Security

We employ reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. This includes technical measures (such as encryption of data in transit via TLS/SSL, use of firewalls, secure hosting environments) and organizational measures (limiting access to personal data only to personnel and service providers who need it for the purposes described, and training staff on privacy and security practices). However, no website or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data. You transmit information to us at your own risk. We will notify you and the relevant authorities of any data breaches involving your personal data, as required by law.

8. Cookies and Tracking (or rather, No Cookies Used)

StockRatings.ai does not use any cookies or similar tracking technologies on our Site for analytics or advertising purposes. We believe in minimizing data collection, and as such, when you visit our website, we do not place any cookies on your browser aside from essential technical cookies (if any) that might be required for the basic functioning of the site (for example, if in the future we have a login session, a session cookie might be necessary – but as of the latest update, we have no login system and set no cookies at all). For more details, please refer to our dedicated Cookie Policy below. By not using cookies, we also avoid the need for cookie consent banners under EU law, since we are not tracking users for analytics or advertising.

(If in the future we decide to utilize cookies to enhance user experience or for any required functionality, we will update our Cookie Policy and, if necessary, obtain your consent in accordance with applicable laws.)

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to external websites or resources that are not operated by us (for example, an article source, or a financial news site). If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to your activities on those external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

10. Children's Privacy

StockRatings.ai is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not provide any personal information to us. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so that we can delete the child's information. For minors between 13 and 18, we advise that you only use the Site with the involvement of a parent or guardian and do not submit personal information without their consent.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom. If the changes are significant, we may also notify you by email (if you have provided one) or by means of a prominent notice on our website. Please review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of StockRatings.ai after any modifications to this Privacy Policy will signify your acceptance of such changes.

12. Contact Us
